ISP who blocks spam?

Hi,

I currently have 2 e-mail addresses, and receive an incredible amount of spam, much of it quite offensive (a lot of porn). I have no idea how this stuff comes in as I don't visit any related web sites to get on such mailing lists.

I would like to find another ISP who blocks spam e-mail, especially porn. I am looking for a pay as you go service where I just pay for the call costs at local rate (ie. 0845) and no monthly charges.

However, for the future I may consider an ISP who offers unlimited off-peak access for a fixed fee - but who doesn't have a minimum term contract of a year.

Can you assist me?

Hi Jay,

Instead of going to all that trouble, why not first try to block the spam yourself?

There are many utilities to do this, but these sound ok and they're free...

I actually found Mailwasher myself on a web site from Completely Free Software who send me a weekly newsletter. Did a search and found it.

It's just what I'm looking for. Gives ME back control over what comes into my e-mail mailboxes. Really great that it identifies potentially virus infected e-mails too and shows which ones have attachments.

The author asks for registration at $20 or whatever the user feels the program is worth - I think that's very reasonable so will probably do so.
