Our ISP is changing all of the external ip's on us. I realize that I would have to change the ip's in the router and the firewall, but where would I have to change ip's on the server?
We have Exchange 5.5, DNS, and DHCP running on one Windows 2K Server.
This depends on whether the servers have external addresses directly alocated or if your company uses NAT. If the former then you will need to alter the TCPIP properties contained in the Network settings. If you use NAT then you need to update your NAT table.
We are using NAT via a Sonicwall firewall. I just found out that the company that hosts our internet is changing ISP's, which is the reason for the change.
Does Exchange server need to be pointed to the new ISP address somehow? Is there anywhere else that I would need to change IP's in the server? DNS forwarding IP's is all I can think of...
