I've completed BCRAN course and now I'm onto self-studying mode. I'm trying to purchase an ISDN simulator without spending more than what I can afford. (Still shopping for couple of 2503 in E-bay) My budget limits around $400. I know that little device may cost around $700+ even in E-Bay. Is there any way?
thanks in advance.

Microbyte,

Best advice is something you already know but are unwilling to accept...its gonna cost around 500-700 for an isdn sim. I've been watching them myself and finally broke down and purchased one for more than I wanted but it does more than I could hope for. I havent gotten it yet, its still traveling the world arriving any day now...

From what I have seen and read there are two reasonable brand names. vconsole and b-link. I havent seen too many b-links in a while so it is pretty much vconsole. buy the u or s/t only. The ones advertised that can do both and have 4 interfaces are misleading. It is 2 u interfaces and 2 s/t interfaces the interfaces are not u + s/t. If you are going to go further...and this will cost you more money, try to watch for a sim with PRI interfaces. Would be nice to configure a few of those before you take the CIT exam. The problem is with a PRI interface it almost doubles the cost. If there is no rush watch eBay patiently and one day you will crack, not being able to stand watching people buying your precious isdn sims and you will leap in! happy hunting.

I guess I have no choice but to invest more for ISDN.

How about this?

The Rubber leg you stick it onto the bottom of the routers. It is tall enough to give enough spacing between stacked routers to ventilate. Also, gives traction to keep the router from slipping.

I've visited Office Max, Staples, BJ's and other stationary stores found no luck. Even, E-bay doesn't have such thing up on auction. Does anybody know where can I get them?

I know this forum is about certification and testing...I am bit off topic. I apolegize for that.
Thanks in advance.

I've had the same problem. Go to Lowes, Home Depot, ACE hardware etc...Look in the isle that you would find stuff for the bottom of chairs. It should be in that isle. If you cant find it ask. It was at one of those stores that I got what you are looking for. As for ventilation, It seems to work ok for mine. If you get concerned just buy some cheap .25" to .5" thick pine wood molding and cut that to fit.

seems like a PC parts house like Fry's, CompUSA, or MicroCenter might have these in their parts section... just don't use the "R" word...
