In a Lucent G3r PBX are ISDN (TN464) cards required for all ISDN T1's or only those which carry the d-channel?

Due to the cost issue, I only use the TN464 packs for spans in an NFAS group that have a D channel, usually two (one primary and one backup D Channel). I use TN767 packs for other spans in the group that don't have a D channel. My equipment vendor has recently told me that in certain instances that it is possible to use a TN767 on a PRI span with a D channel, I have not done this yet. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the good info. That's exactly what I needed to know!

My backup D channel resides on a TN767. It has worked because my primary went down a few times last month and no signal lost.

Jay - are you sure that's on a G3 "R" (not an i, si, s, etc.) -CL
