we have a 2 node isci setup using dl380 cluster msa500

server has a child partion of it's container and also has a r/w of the scope that the da is using.
by accident we noticed today that if you reboot the cluster when the router connection is disconnected then we cannot load cluster services -basically sbd error as the isci partition isnt viseable
we are assuming it's going further up the tree to find something but what? or why should this happen - i would have thought it would load as long as the ion and ton ncf's were ok and it found a scsi cable up it's butt

is this a nds partition issue or does it rely on finding it as a slp service?

Not sure if I read your post right but, if the cluster node cannot see the sbd partition it will not load cluster services. If you unplug the router then the node cannot see the sbd.

This is not an iscsi issue. This happens on all Netware clusters. The nodes MUST be able to see/access the SBD as a minimum.

sorry i'm not very clear - the cluster is all local to one site

cluster works no probs at all - all is fine. but if for example - i turn cluster off. unplug the router turn the server on then when it runs the ion the isci partition will not initialise - obviously post this the cluster will not load as the sbd is on the isci partition.

this only happens if router is unplugged - obviously this would be a bizarre - if the router fails then dont reboot anything.

it is therefore an isci only issue as it's pre cluster initialise but i dont know what it is looking for a requires
