I have a windows 2000 advanced server and 6 winMe clients all happily talking together on a 3com Airconnect wireless LAN.

I now want them to access the internet using a mobile telephone (I know it will be dead slow, but the next phase will be satellite communication - Whooooosh!!).

I have tried installing Internet Security and Accelleration software (proxy 3) but I cannot get any WinMe client to get the phone to dial out. I either get Error 502, or DNS errors.

My server has a static IP address of 10.0.0.3, the AirConnect hub has an unlimited DHCP lease of 10.0.0.10 and all clients use DHCP to obtain an address from the scope 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.254.

I have been informed that I cannot have the firewall part of ISA installed if I only have one network card (which connects with crossover cable) direct to Airconnect hub.

Help please, as I need to get access asap.

Thanks in advance.

ISA Server has a steep learning curve... Unless you are familiar with the product, it is going to be difficult for you. If you need something ASAP, use the NAT server in RRAS... or simpler yet, Internet Connection Sharing. Use your modem, dial on demand, as your public interface and the NIC as the internal interface. Define the external interface to use DHCP.

Thanks for the reply Stephen. Sorry I did not post a reply back in March.

Things got so out of hand that I never had a chance to try out your suggestion.

As the management wanted it "yesterday" they threw money at it and immediately ordered the satellite connection (which turned out not to be such a whooosh after all!!).

Thought I better post a belated thanks.
