Yes I am also seeing some problems on windows 2000 terminal services server starting yesterday. With nothing installed I am now getting a application event error 4097 THe com + Event system detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 800706ba from line 42 of \eventsystemobj.cpp.

This has just started out of the blue. Ran the tool from symantec for blaster also made sure patch was installed.

We have had the same issue. You can no longer share priners or drives using term services if the ISP is blocking port 135. SBC and Cox Cable started yesterday. This also stops internet access to exchange except thru pop.

Well the problem is this terminal server is not public it is a lan terminal server.

Did the fix and patch resolved the problem? If yes, then you had the worm and this means that your lan is connected to the internet in some way. Check dual network card on a PC with one going to the internet and the other one going to your lan.
