Is there no way to just repeat the Auto Attendant instead of Fallback

I have a very basic system with Embedded Voicemail and a single Auto Attendant.
If the caller isn't fully paying attention and misses a prompt Is there no way to play the Auto Attendant more than one time?
Can I not make the Auto Attendant Fallback to the Auto Attendant?

Have the first option be "press 0 to repeat these options" and assign 0 to the "Replay Menu Greeting" action.

Also if you really want, set the incoming call route fallback destination to also be the autoattendant.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

That is it exactly what I want to do Fallback to the Auto Attendant.
The only thing I can select in Fallback is an extension.

Something wrong with your Manager then, just done it here. If it really won't play create a shortcode for the autoattendant and set that as the fallback destination.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

When you figure it out, be careful about the fallback option. Bot calls can get stuck in that loop forever, tying up all your lines and your voicemail ports. And for the rest of you, if there is a way to force a call out of the AA after a certain amount of time in that loop, I'd like to know about it.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

Hey guys, I just want to thank anyone and everyone that is helping out with questions.
I have been a computer tech for 35 years and have only worked on a Nortel Modular ICS.
I think I have done pretty well buying an Avaya IP Office 500 v2 running version 7 and learning everything from YouTube and the manuals without anyone to ask questions.
There are however some things that just don't work the way they are suppose to which is frustrating.
I am stupid when it comes to Short Codes and how they can really be used.
Hey Sizbut, I have R7 Manager running on version 7 IPO and I can't see anything other than my 6 extensions in Fallback. I don't even know or see how you can use shortcodes in Fallback.

Short codes, right click, new
Code: whatever you want that doesn't conflict with anything
Feature: Auto Attendant
Telephone Number: AA:nameofyouraa example: AA:AAMain
Line Group ID: 0

Go to your incoming call route, click the fallback option, you should be able to type the short code here (it won't be in the drop down), or if that won't work in your version, you will need to create a new extension, and set Forward Unconditional in that new extension to that short code, then put that extension in your fallback. If it doesn't work, call the short code and the new extension to see what step was done wrong.

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

Hi azavayaman that is a very good point and I didn't think of that, thank you.
Maybe it is just best to let them play the menu again with pressing a key.
After the timeout maybe it should just go to the operator or hunt group.

Thank you azavayaman!
It is starting to make some sense.
I can create a Short Code for anything as long as it doesn't conflict with the existing codes already there.
The other confusing part also was I didn't know I could enter a Name of the Auto Attendant in the "Telephone Number" field.

You are trying to setup a Voicemail Jail, not very user friendly.

What happens when you get a call from an old lady in the middle of know-where who is still using the rotary dial phone she first had 40 years ago?

Always have a fallback to a human if you don't want to risk loosing customers

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

The other problem is if the destination and fallback are both the auto attendant and you use both your voicemail ports(assuming you didn't buy more) now your calls aren't even getting through.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Then they will hear ringtone untill the vm ports are available

Thanks everyone for your excellent replies!

Being the computer guy and not the phone guy has given me the attitude of "Lock Them Out".
Now I am trying to be the phone guy and I have realized I really need to let them as easy as possible.

I have more questions about voicemail but I guess I should post another thread or search for the answer.
