Hi everyone,

Rather than repost my whole message of last night (0 replies):

thread702-796502

Can this be done or is it not possible?

Thx,
Vie

Vie,

I believe Listbox is the choice for you. You can insert data items, which are generated from your function, into listbox on the fly.

Surely, if you want to get these data items saved even after the database is closed, you have to create a table to save them.

Thanks seaport. They don't need to be saved in a table since the values A-Z or 01-nn, are derived from simple integers (byte) 1-255 that are saved in a table.

I hope I'm making sense here.

Can I put them into a textbox on a subform? The subform is in datasheet view and the textbox appears like a column in a table/query/spreadsheet-style view.

I can get the function to input data into the Apt column of the subform but (as with the logic of the function) it inputs only the last value of i for every record. In the immediate window the values are exactly as I want but the subform shows only the final i.

The more I think about it, the more confused I become.
