i have a report that generates about 300 pages of detail and then 6 lines in my footer which totals and sums the info in the detail. i would like a report that only shows those 6 lines. i tried to hide the detail but all it did was make the detail not visible and there were 300 blank pages. any suggestions?

Make sure your report detail's visible property is set to "No" and if you are grouping by say, an order number, it's "Header" visible property must be "No" as well. To set these properties, double-click on the bar that says detail and its property sheet will appear. Same for any other sections you don't need to see. Gord
