I have a client that set up an after call phone survey in VM Pro. He asked:

"I’ve created a phone survey in VMPro, which records its results to a SQL database when the call is complete. How is works is a call comes into a CCR agent, when the call is complete, the agent transfers to a short code which maps to a VMPro module – the survey. Is there any system variable or any way to track which agent transferred that call? I would like to record that agents extension into the database and can’t figure out a way to do it."

My initial thought is that he may be able to overwrite the $CLI variable or possibly using different short codes for the transfer to track the agent.

Aside from the source transfer variable question, any thoughts, tips, or creative suggestions for phone surveys?

Perhaps create a generic for each agent that then connects to the module for the survey. You can flag the call as answered in the generic.

Make a module for each agent to transfer to using user shortcodes and put in the start point a generic action adding the agents credentials used in the database in a systme variable.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

perhaps in your shortcode.

I suspect you have something like

*55/VM Collect/"SurveyModule" ... yes?

I wonder if you can pass extra digits to the module.

*55/Vm Collect/"SurveyModule",E

It will dial the module, wait 1 second, then send the E (which is the extension). You could put a menu with a ???? option and put that into a copy point. Worth a shot?

If using CCR can you not utilise a CCR Report that will give you this information?

That is a good point. I did not notice he was running CCR.
With VMPRO and CCR, go go the start point of your module, and go to Reporting on it, and hit "send reporting information". You can put in information for reporting and run a 'voicemail' report and get information on the module like how many times it was hit; it should show who hit it as well.
