I have searched heavily through the forums and seen similar questions, but not really a solution.

Is there a special character that I can put in a dial string to generate a flash hook action?

Is there a special character that I can put in to generate a disconnect or drop action?

I have a site with Embedded 9.1 Essential.

The user wants to forward their desk phone to their cell. They have centrex like transfer with their line provider. As you all know, it would be preferred to let the provider handle the transfer off site and release all the resources of the IPO and the lines.

User wants to forward their cell to:

Flash,16175551234,Disconnect.

I have tried SC with Flashook, number, but it just hangs and doesn't release.

I want to try to put a hookswitch flash action as part of a dial string in a couple of different places, such as:

1. In the user's forward number field, putting an F in front of the number, where F is a special character for flash hook.

2. Build a unique ARS table for this individual, in his forward number field, put 816175551234 in the field where the 8 pushes it to the unique ARS table and then in the ARS table perhaps there is a flashook in front of the telephone number field.

Both of our AVAYA distributors seem to be wrestling with this, but it seems like if a simple special character exists for "flash" I would be home free!

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Can't be done :)

The Embedded auto attend has a "Centrex Transfer" function, although it didn't work in earlier releases. Maybe it works now... give it a try and let us know.

Doesn't work, never has as far as I know, also requires a user input tone to trigger :)

Yea, I am having luck with it in the AA and in a breakout in the user mailbox, but not an actual forward.

Basically he wants to Unconditional forward his extension to his cell. When a caller selects his 3 digit extension of the AA, instead of his extension doing a 9+ through the system ARS and keeping two lines tied up (1 in, 1 back out), I wanted to just flash, dial the cell, and drop. I don't think embedded can do it.

I know nobody wants to hear it but suggest that they upgrade to voicemail pro. You can do exactly what they are looking for. It all depends on how bad they want the feature.
