Is there a manual for this thing?

I am using foxpro 2.5b. I cannot locate the operations manual. Does anyone know of an online resource where the manual can be accessed?

The help file included with FP 2.5b has everything that was included (and more) than the printed manuals that came with the product. These were reference manuals - not programmer training guides.

I don't believe there is anywhere online where these are available, but if you want to buy them, check at

It has been MANY years since Foxpro 2.5b was a "current" product. At that time there were quite a few books published as well as the Foxpro Advisor magazine.

These were excellent resources for the product.

But after this many years, those books are no longer available and the Foxpro Advisor has moved on to the current - Visual Foxpro.

Don't get me wrong, Foxpro 2.5b is still a good product and applications written with it are still working well in today's world.

But, if you are going to learn a "new" language, I'd suggest that you seriously consider it being Visual Foxpro.

Additionally if you have an old FP 2.5 application which you need to support, you might take this opportunity to consider converting it to VFP. A majority of the old code will likely work in the VFP environment.

From your first posting I cannot read if you're using the F1 key, being the HELP-key in foxpro.
The help manual as you call it is a foxhelp.dbf with a foxhelp.fpt file, being regular foxpro tables and memo file.
