Hi,
We have a number of roaming laptop users and wish to present apps via Metaframe XP whilst they are on the move.
We have a legacy problem of people using My Docs to store data so we plan to do the following:
1. Local Profiles
2. Group Policy to redirect My Docs to network share
3. Force caching on My Docs share so that they are available offline
4. Configure roaming TS profile (In case we get more than one Citrix server)
5. Use loopback processing in replace mode to lock down TS via GPO and configure same redirection of My Docs in the GPO
6. Configure TS lock down GPO to diable offline file caching.
The result is that the user has access to My Docs anywhere (including a TS session) and that the server doesn't use disk space caching the My Docs or have to synchronise the My Docs share.
Can anyone see any problems with this strategy or know of a better way to achieve it (other than a company policy telling users they cannot use My Docs for corporate data
)
Regards
Simon
