Has MS incorporated it into current releases? If so, which rev includes it? Am going to dual boot Pro over Win98SE and don't want to do the download if it's unnecessary.
TIA for any info.

No. The only way to get XP with SP1 enabled is to slipstream it yourself (or get it from someone that has). I slpistreamed SP1 into XP Pro a while back. It came in very handy after my system crashed.
My advice? Download it, slipstream it, test it, burn it, and then you will never have to bother with it ever again.
A very efficient install; it even changes the build info!

The newer release versions of XP have to my knowledge the SP preinstall, at least that is the case on the new OEM versions i get

Thank you all for your (slightly contradictory) comments. When I last installed SP1, I downloaded and saved it on my second HD, anticipating a future need for it. Wolluf; I will follow the excellent directions for slipstreaming and let you all know how it goes. (If it's not on the install.)
Of course, I hope Buckeye is right.

Linney, You got here just in time. Now, I'll install first what I purchased last week, and cross my fingers.
