Hi !

I have seen in the past few days quit a lot solutions based upon a Scripting.FileSystemObject .

I am wondering wether or not this is possible with all OS's.
Or is there additional 'add-in' or some like that required.

I am asking this to prevent using a Scripting.FileSystemObject which might cause an error at a users' machine.

Bart,

The answer is No.

First, it is not avaiable by default with Windows 95. It has to be explicitly installed. With later versions of Windows, it might be installed but a user or adminstrator can choose to disable it.

Mike,

I have a computer with WinXP Pro and FSO is not working (or maybe disabled). How do I enable it?

TIA

Oh, so you mean it's just there in the Services? OK, I'll try it tomorrow in the office (can't find it in my home PC). Thanks. :)

Mike,
Thanks.
Does this mean that I can freely integrate Window Scripting into applications once I do distribute applications ?
-Bart

Yes, providing your customer also has Windows Scripting installed on his computer. Or you intergrate it in your setup.
