Is my CPU upgrade working?

How can i tell if my CPU upgrade is working properly.&nbsp;&nbsp;It was a P75 and I have now installed a Nova Max P225 MMX.&nbsp;&nbsp;It works fine but it still says on startup that the clock speed is 75MHz, I did not adjust any jumper setting when I installed it (I don't have the motherboard manual and I can see no clear labels to the jumpers).&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Thanks<br><br>Jon<br><br>

Well the chip is underclocked. Are you sure that the board supports a p255? My guess is that it doesn't since it had a p75 (I may be wrong). whenever you install new chips on a board, you need to update the pins, and jumpers to use that speed of chip, so that you can change its voltage and multipler, good thing you wernt sticking a slower chip into a board that used to use a faster chip, could have fried it in a matter of seconds (newer boards like my Athlon board, will autodetect speed, multipler, voltage, etc)<br><br>good luck, and if you cant find the board manual, they usally have them published online, depending on your manufactuer. <p>Karl<br><a href=mailto:kb244@kb244.8m.com>kb244@kb244.8m.com</a><br><a href=
