Is MTU change used for AOL Dialup under XP Home Ed

I have just started using XP Home Edition, from W/98SE. At this time i use AOL dialup for e-mail and downloads. Are the MTU changes still applicable at this level? Is there a mini-app to make the changes?

mtu "maximum transmission units" is always used,installing aol software probly took care of that setting.....

is there a problem getting to sites?
i wouldn't mess with the mtu settings, unless there's a problem
