is it recomonded to install VMPRO 2.1(10) & CCV5 in the same PC.

if it is not recomonded how to do the following

we have CCV5 already running in WIN 2000 server PC, we have only one USB Feature Key.

we purchased the VMpro2.1(10) on the same Key number - if need to install VM pro in onother pc i need to purchase onother feature key

It is NOT recommended that VM Pro & CCC run on the Same PC
You do NOT need a 2nd feature key, licences are validated by the IPO against the feature key conected to the feature key server.
this server can be ANY PC on the network, Most people use the VM PC because this is a pc that can be garanteed to be running 24/7, running feature key server on the CCC is just as acceptable.

Dear IP GURU.

Thanks for the advice,
But i installed the VMPRO in onother PC, when i dial *17 I just get blank, i am not hearing any voice prompts.

when i restart the PC, i am able to hear the Voice propts after dialing the *17.

this is bit confusing

pls help

Hi,

Sounds to me like you have invalid licenses, VM Pro will run for 2 hours without a license after that you will hear dead air. If you reboot the server or restart the service you'll get another 2hrs.
Check your licenses are valid and do the neccessary. If you're having license problems I'd reccomend a serial dongle as it can save a headache with invalid licenses. For 406 v1 and 403's you can get a 25 pin to 9 pin converter and put the serial feature key into the DTE port via the converter. Not officially supported but works a treat :)

Hope this helps.

I have to confirm this is a clasic symptom of invalid licence
check that the licene server IP Address hs been set correctly ( the IP address of the ccc server if that is where you have located the feature key server) also chek that the firewall on the feature key server has been disabled (or at least opened up for the feature key server application)

For relaibaility & ease of use the RS232 feature key has got top be the prefered option on all new systems
