Is it possible to upsate BB Devices wirelessly?

we have newest BES with about 20 devices on AT&T. how are you all handling pushing out device updates? any way to do it wirelessly?

It requires 4.5 or later on the devices first for it to work

my device is running 4.2.2.170 which is the newest i see available from AT&T. is ther any way of getting newer firmware? i have 4.7 on my PC but it can only push down what AT&T has i guess??????? byt the way thanks for the reply, very good info...

What device?

Latest OS builds from all carriers are here:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

You can usually use an OS for the same device drom a different carrier... it'll usually work (logos will be different). In the rare circumstance it has problems just download and try a different one.

8310 what is weird is that i download 4.6 or 4.7 but when i try to upgrade it only sees 4.2 as available. how do i enable the software to update the device.

You load it into the Desktop Manager and connect the device... it should see it's a later build and do the update

To install a OS update from a different carrier you have to delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\VENDOR.XML first.

For most devices... the newer devices use 4.6

Also depends if your carrier allows OTASL, some don't as yet.
