Hi,

We are still being plagued by bad latency when using the nfuse/java combination to connect to the server farm. That combination has too much latency. SpeedScreen helps but it is just not very good and some users don't like speedscreen.

If I connect with the local ica client via 'citrix program neighborhood' to a single server the speed is fine, no latency, without even using speedscreen.

So, now I am trying to figure how to connect to the farm via the citrix program neighborhood, the most efficient way.

We already use the web client nfuse, so can it be forced to use the local client in the nfuse.conf as page #18 of this document seems to indicate?

See how they added an option to select local ica client. I do not need to be able to select, I could force it to simplify if this would fix the problem. The nfuse/Java combination is just not good, I want to get rid of it.

So before I go breaking things I want to see if it is even possible to do.

Thanks for any help.

You will find the docs on the Citrix Web site too. Yes you do it in the Admin web site, to select which client to use.

Scott, you get 10 points for best answers on forum. :)

I had to figure that out a few days ago and yes you are correct.

I also found that I needed to disable mousetimer and keyboardtimer in template.ica. They were making it look to users on the LAN as latency on the network.

I understand there may also be queuing on the Citrix servers that I might be able to disable also. I am looking there next. Users seem to be much happier with response on the LAN with no queuing.

Thanks!
