I don't think anyone will be interested in answering my prior post because of the way i stated my issue~ perhaps restating it will make it simpler and one of the technically astute visitors will deem it worthy of answering ~ !

Is there a way to get an access report to display different fields on each report line (column)based on the contents of a field in a record ?

I have a table with "yes/no" bytes set that correspond to specific fields in the same record ~ I would like to create a report on the contents of the table so as to print a specific field from the record based on the "yes" or true state of the yes/no bytes.

I am having trouble figuring out a technique.

basically, what i want to do is if, in the record. fieldA is "true" print field 21 else if fieldB is true pring field 35 else if fieldC is true print field 10.

anyone with a suggestion ? (seems I need logic underlying the report as it processes each record but for the life of me cannot figure out how to do this (or if it is even possible))

thanks ! [sig][/sig]

It was answered. Yesterday. What additional information do you need? What NEW question are you asking? What NEW information are you providing?
