Is it possible to have a partition span across 2 or more drives?

I have a backup script set to write to /backup, after a couple days the backups are larger than all resonably priced drives.

Whats the easiest way to do that?

What do you consider 'resonably priced drives'?

You are using /backup so you must be using some sort of *nix.

What OS are you using?

You may be able to have files span multiple drives but partitions are contained entirely on a drive, i.e. each hard drive has to be partitioned before it's usable and can have several partitions on the same drive.

Drives are quite inexpensive, consider 1993/94 when a 345MB drive was $345.00.

Will your /backup do an incremental backup, only what has changed from the last one.
