Hi,

Is it possible to send an e-mail straight into an 'inbox' in a public folder? We want to create an address that will allow our intranet web form to post straight into a public area.

Regards

Yes, public folders can have SMTP addresses, just like any Exchange object.

Public folders can also be recipients on a distribution list.

first create the publicfolder using outlook or ...
then using exchange administrator view hidden objects and select the folder just created. via propertie you can set the emailaddress etc...

That's great advice.

How about notification that a message has arrived in a public folder? Ideally, the message arrives to the public folder and the "distribution list" members are notified. From the notification, they can decide if they need to go into the public folder to open the message.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. Is it possible to notify a list of people as soon as a mail is posted in a public folder? This is what PTerrell suggests in the post above.

If so, how do I do this?

Regards,
