Is it possible to clear VM inbox from Manager? 1

I have a huntgroup voicemail inbox, is it possible to clear its messages from Manager?

From 5.0 and up you can on the VMPro client.

If you change the hunt group name, that will clear ALL the messages.. as the greeting, voicemails etc are saved under the group name.

it will still leave them on the server though wont it? re naming wont delete the old mailbox.

I am loving that clear mailbox feature in 5.0

Is 5.0 stable enough? Got a large SCN, and I'm always worried about breaking stuff with major upgrades.

You can go to 5.0, but we had some troubles on 2 sites with more than 5 IPO's in a star setup using 5.0.51. But we also have 2 sites running 5.0.15 with more than 4 IPO's in a SCN but they were build from scratch the others were on 4.2.4

Not saying that you cannot goto 5.0 but be aware.

Right now I'm trying to balance the feature benefits with 5.0 with the risks of having issues.

I like the voicemail pro clear mailbox thing, I like the expansion in SCN supported sites, I like the One-X Portal, I like the better VoIP reporting in System Status.

Decisions decisions....

Just try it, you can always go back. But watch the speech over SCN it could get "one way" make sure "Direct Media Path" is turned off on the SCN Links in 5.0.15.

That's big too, because right now if I don't have Direct Media Path turned on, I get one way audio.

One of the customers their network is a 1Gig firbre network with different VLAN's for each site. All the IPO's are in main site the extension are on different sites.
The IP500's on the main also have the same VLAN's as the remote extensions.
