WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE SERVER ON OUR NETWORK. IT SEEMS FAST ENOUGH BUT FREEZES QUITE OFTEN. IT IS ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TAPE BACKUP. OUR NETWORK ONLY HAS 12 WORKSTATIONS. WE HAVE 256K RAM. I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO ADD ANOTHER 256 BUT THIS SEEMS LIKE A LOT. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

THANK YOU

I would take that advice, The more memory the better with servers. you may also want to gear the server towards giving 'services' priority over 'applications', if you havent' already. Good Luck

How large is the hard drive(s)?
What applications and services are running on the server?

More memory is always better, especially as the above numbers increase. Glenn
