ipv500 expansion phone 16 not active (700449507)

Hi All,

I think I might be going crazy but is the a specific way of installing a expansion phone 16 port onto a ip office ver 8.1 (63).

I plugged the expansion onto port 1 at the back of the control unit. Supplied power to the expansion. I even rebooted the control unit.

When logging into manager the exoansion unit does not appear. Plugged in an analogue phone to test for dial tone - no dial tone yet there is power - can here tone when pressing any digit.

im using manager R9 to manage the ip office.

Any ideas

Is the firmware for the phone 16 available on the SD card of the IP Office?

what does the firmware file look like. Whats its file extension

is this firmware downloaded as a package or can it be downloaded seperately

avpots16.bin if I'm not mistaken

its there..In the root of PRIMARY

is the upgrade automatic?

If i were to upgrade just the avpots16.bin using manager 9 which is installe on my laptop , would this cause any issues with the rest of the Ip Office.

taking into consideration that the IP Office version is 8.1 (63)

Anyone have any idea. Could it be out of the box faulty.
