I've noticed in IPO 4.0 that the time displayed in the System Status window/program is an hour and 5 minutes different from the PC time displayed on the desktop. The time displayed on the phones is correct. My IPO time server is set to 0.0.0.0 and the PC is set to sync with our main server.

My IPO 412 also has a CD player for music on hold which, after upgrading to 4.0, now just beeps when you hit *34 to test for the music. I still have a short code *34 which states "Hold Music".

Is there any way to set the default ringing volume with an IPO 412 and version 4.0? We have mostly 4406D phones. After every reboot all the phones are VERY loud.

In regards to your MOH. You have a tick box under system that says use external MOH. This is new to v4.

In reference to the default ring volume. No you cannot do this.

Not sure about the system status thing, it should display the system time. Mine also seems to be a little bit out. But not that much.

OK I found the MOH checkbox - thanks.

My users are complaining about poor connections to local calls today (and some incoming LD calls too). It is also raining and we have lots of wire problems on this street so I hope that is it.

The outgoing calls sound "tinny" or high pitched. My own test calls now sound "muffled". My VM inside the building sounds fine, from outside it's "muffled".

Incoming calls now show "External" instead of the caller ID. Although when I call my own direct line it displays the correct caller ID info briefly and then switches to "external". This seems to be on the pots lines only as the Status window shows alarms on the incoming pots lines that don't have a caller ID.

Can the 4.0 IPO software cause "muffled" calls?

It sounds like a problem with your copper if inside the building sounds fine.

I've connected an analog phone to each of our 12 pots lines and they all sound great. The calls coming in to the IP 400 ATM module and going out through this module are what either fail or sound horrible.

I also have caller id problem, waiting to here from Avaya Tech support.
