I have an IPO that is connected to an Analogue PSTN service provider.
The Central Office uses Pulse dialling only. I have configured my Lines for Loop start and Pulse dialling. When an outgoing call is made from the IPO, SSA shows that the line is seized for 18 secs and gets connected. The call then fails.
I think that the Central Office is expecting digits in the 18 secs that the IPO has seized the line and by the time the IPO connects the Central Office will has given a fast busy.
How can I configure the IPO to make a successful call?

On the Analogue Options of each line, change the Await Dial Tone value lower. This is the number of seconds the system waits after going off hook before starting dialing. I would also suggest you use a butt set to monitor the line while the system is connecting a call to see where it is failing, such as the CO has timed out before dialing has begun, or the pulses are incorrect, too fast, too slow, etc.

I think pulse dialing is only possible on the Line module not on the 4 port ATM module (if I remember correctly) but that could be the old ATM4 and not the ATM4V2
put a butt set on it and listen into it when you dial out. That way you know for sure what the system does and pulse dialing you can count even what digits are dialed if it dials :-)

Using ATM4V2. With a butt set the ipo is pulsing. How do I match pulses to what the CO requires?

Can someone please share how to match with the CO.

connect your butt set inline with the IPO, then make a call from the IPO on that line. Listen to the butt set to make sure that you hear the line go off hook then dial the digits. If you have a digit grabber you could even see what is being sent.
