not sure if this is the right forum for this but couldnt find a better one.

we are looking to develop an application for the iphone. it will be a free application that we will only give to arround 100 employees of a single company.

i understand that we need an apple computer to develop an application, i also understand that we need a 100$ subsciption for the developer account.


my questions are:
Is it mandatory to make the application available to all the public via the store?

is the 100$ subscription even required for just an internaly distributed application (without having to install hacks and such on the iphone)?

will the fact that it is only for internal use make it hard for apple to accept the application?

am i missing anything? any other licenses or considerations?

indicates if the company has 500+ employees, then the Enterprise program would be suitable.
