IPCONFIG

When I type ipconfig at the run command, the command screen flashes by? Is there a switch I need to add to keep it open?

If you are using windows 98:
The 'winipcfg' command will give you a GUI interface with more info than the 'command ipconfig' sequence.

But for the sake of education... if you wanted ipconfig to stay on screen so that you can see what's there, click on start, run, type in COMMAND click ok, that will bring the dos prompt. once there, type ipconfig, you'll see your results. Once done, type exit and it will close that windows for you.
