One here for all the guys and Gals who've been around a bit!
A customer has an IP600, this has no serial admin connection, and they wish to change the gateway IP address. Going in on ASA in order change node-names ip, first you have to disable the ethernet port before you can change the address. As soon as you do this it dumps the admin IP connection. And stops processing calls! The only way to get it back is to crash the power so it boots and reloads from the flash mem and enables the ethernet port back in service.
I'm sure it is possible to set the gateway address from the bash prompt, or by using the KVM directly on the NT Workstation octopus lead, but it's been so long since I played with an IP600 I can't remember!
Any help out there?
thanks.
