IP500v2 unit replaced - Licensing 1

Question....I have R8+ Essentials. If I purchase a PRI/T1/E1R2 card and add it to the unit, doesn't it already include 8 channels. The Phone Manager recognizes the card, however, there is no PRI line on the Line Options. Is this by design in R8+ version. If so do I now need to get the licenses changed for this unit to allow the PRI to be added.

I added the PRI card to the VCM32 card.

Yes, when you install the card you automatically get 8 channels and a PRI line should appear under lines.

I'd reboot the system a second time, and verify in system monitor that the PRI card does show as a daughter card to the VCM32.

you still need to manually set the lines to inservice

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

Thank you DavidCT. I wanted to make sure there was not a change with 8.1 that was different from what I knew. I just took it out of the VCM32 card and added it to the Phone2 card. That seemed to work. I think I may have read somewhere about some issues with the PRI card not having some issues when connected to the new VCM v2 cards.
