IP500 - Can the system be put into Night Service manually? 1

I have an IP500 system where the customer requires the ICR hits embedded AA in both Day & Night service. However, they do not have fixed hours of operation and want to be able to enable the last person on site to put the system into NS and likewise the first person in to put it back into Day Service. I have contemplated making the ICR hit a group which can be toggled in/out of service by a short code with the AA as fallback, however I cannot see how I can switch between Day & Night modes. Any geniuses out there?

you can only control day and night manually via a hunt group.

Create DayHG with a user (Create VOIP Extn, Forward all to S/C AADay, Sequential)
Create NightHG with a user (Create VOIP Extn, Forward all to S/C AANight, Sequential)

Set the NightHG as Night Destination in DayHG, put a button on a phone - Set HuntGroup Night Service.

The ICR will ring the DayHG.

Its been said before but I'll say it again: a shortcode to manually flip the status of a time profile would have so many uses.

I have sugested such thing to Avaya in the past. in email in in person.

Night Service on the IPO is still an area need some R&D by people who actually work in the field!!!!

I said they should have a variation on the old INDeX area's. put a whole area in NS. That could include ICR, User Rights, HG, Etc.... all changed by pressing one button!

I agree - with regard to this area, the INDeX is far more flexible. It seems ridiculous to have to find a work around for a requirement so basic.
