do a back up
power down
take the line card out of the proccessor
power up without the line card in the proccessor
see that the line card no longer shows in the config, if it does
delete the lines, and line cards from the config, and send the config to the processor. check again to see that the line card no longer shows in the config. if it does reboot again with no line card in the proccessor.
back up the config
power down
power back up, see that the line card no longer shows in the config.
once you get the line card that you removed to no longer show in the config, power down, and put the line card back into the proccessor. check the pins to make sure they are straight, and go into the motherboard straight, and as they should. after seeing it is fully seated as it should, power back up, and pull the config.
it should then show the line card in the config. do not use the same line group numbers as before, and never use line group zero. also, the first daughter board goes in slot a, second in slot b, don't skip slot a.
hope this helps, it helped me before. also, test the lines with an analog phone to make sure they all work inbound, and outbound while not connected to the ipo.
also, analog lines off of a channel bank have been known to have issues, especially the adit 600 i believe. 3.2 is supposed to have code that fixes the issue.
the other consideration is if the unit was upgraded properly to the release you are now using. get the admin software for the original release which the modules came with, and start upgrading according to the procedure for the next highest release to what is on the unit to begin with. then to upgrade to the next, do the same upgrading one release at a time, including any intermediate upgrades .999 bins that the documents mention.
if you did not do the multiple upgrades to get from the release it comes with out of the box to the release you are going to use yourself, then assume it was done wrong, downgrade, and redo it yourself. mine usually come with 2.1, which takes a few upgrades to get to 3.1.65 including the intermediate upgrades, loader upgrades, etc.
first thing is to get the line card out of the proccessor, and out of the config. then put it back in and start over, not using the same line groups if possible.
also, plug analog ext direct into the analog trunk port. from digital ext call the analog ext. should get the aa, try all three analog trunks, should get aa. if so, it leans toward the telephone companies dial tone, not the trunk ports. i would configure, and try the 4th analog trunk port as well, so you can use that if it works.
You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.
