Client reports that when she places a soft console call on park it does not activate park buttons on sets in office , rebooted soft console and IP400 . The parked call hears message on hold and can be retrieved from the soft console not sets. Ideas Anyone?

Sounds like the park bay designations on SC and buttons are not alligned.

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

Not sure what you mean the designations are park 1 , park 2 , park 3 , park 4 on both the SC and the sets , what alignment and how ?

SC must be

*8X | Park | 1 (2 or 3 or 4) |

So to park press *81 for park 1 etc. when youuse *81 the it will show up in the soft console

The softconsole park button programming is as follows;

park 1 = alt+F1
park 2 = alt+F2

the system shows the short codes as *37*N#
the telephone buttom programming just shows park 1 , park 2 ,etc

The softconsole does not allow me to change the alt+F1 to *37*01 for park 1 for example.

Any ideas?

Change then to 101,102,103 and 104

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

By default the park slots on SC are numbered from 1 to 16, the first four corresponds with the default park buttons on PhoneManager.
You can program a button with the function Park (or unpark) and set as actionnumber a 1 or 2 or 3 etc upto 16.
If a user parks a call then the park slot number used is the users extension number with a 1 after is, so user 201 parks a call it wil be in park slot 2011, if a user already have a call parked and it parks a next call then it will be in park slot 2012 etc.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

How do you change the action in the soft console from the current alt-F1 , F2 etc ?

Would it be better to just uninstall the pc console and reinstall to get the function , alignment , feature back functioning ?

Thanks

There is a profile for the softconsole user in the folder "C:\Users\<username>\My Documents\Avaya\IP400\Softconsole" or something like that, the profiles are hidden .xml files but you can delete the whole folder and after starting SoftConsole it will re-create the folder with default settings.
Then in SoftConsole you can change the short key settings in the configuration, you can change the numbers for the park slots as well.
If you login as Administrator with username "Administrator" and "password" as the password then you can change the settings for that user, the softconsole user cannot change the settings which are set by the administrator.
