Guys,

System = IP406v4v2 running 5.0.26 with several expansion modules running 7.0.26.
All phones are 5410s and 5420s Release 6.0.

I wish to replace a failed IP400 Digital30 v2 with an IP400 Digital30 v1. I can't seem to upgrade the Dig30 v1 from 7.0.8 to 7.0.26.

Is 7.0.8 the highest you can go on a v1?
Will the 7.0.8 work okay with all the rest at 7.0.26?

I have it setup in our lab and the v1 appears to working fine at 7.0.8 while the IP406v2 is at 5.0.26 (and other expansions at 7.0.26).

thoughts?

You should be able to Upgrade it..
How are you trying to upgrade the system?

I have an IP406v2 running 5.0.26. in our lab, Manager is 9.0. When running upgrade from Manager, Manager never sees the 7.0.26 firmware in my working directory. I tried changing to another directory (folder) with 5.0.26 and it still don't see it. Maybe the 5.0.26 Manager directory does not contain the needed files?

Upgrade Resolved.

I used another pc running Manager 9.1.1, set current working directory to 5.0.26 and presto, the upgrade ran without issue.

I find it strange that one PC running Manager 9.0.3 would not let me run the upgrade (grayed out). And the 9.1.1 Manager PC saw that 7.0.8 was on the Dig30v1 and allowed the upgrade to 7.0.26.

Reminds me of the R2.1, 3.0 and 3.1 early days....."Life (IP Office) is like a box of candy, you never know what you're gonna get"......lol.

Thanks for reply..
