IP trunk vs IP gateway

IP trunk is a way to define a PABX interface over TCP/IP (the other one is IP extension; it depends on application) For example the BP250 IPU board (it's quite different from MD110 IPU
) does IP Trunk and/or IP extension.
The IP Trunk function of a PABX IP interface permits connection of two PABX on a IP network.
IP gateway is a device doing interworking between an IP Interface (and its H323, G729, etc.) and Voice (and data) in "traditional manner", like ISDN.
For example MD110 have gateway function when connects a ELU32 extension with a TLU76 channel or with an analog extension.

Shortly can we say :
- IP Gateway includes one PABX and opens for both traditional TDM extensions as well as IP extensions on WAN.
- IP trunk includes more than one PABX interconnected to form a private network. (over TCP/IP of course, instead of CCS)
For the latter, may we with the new Ericsson IP trunk define VPNoIP. Do we need IN nodes as in traditional VPNoCCS ?
