I am in the process of setting up a signal group and trunk to connect two S8730 systems. The problem is when I set up the signal group, it goes right away into a state of FAR-END BYPASS and I don't know what that means or how to remove it. I can ping the c-lan boards on the near and far end but I am confused as to what is my next step. One server is on CM 5.1 and the other is on CM 5.2 (far end). Here is my signal group status:

Anyone have any ideas?

Shouldn't the Near-end Listen Port and the Far-end Listen Port be set to 1720

lever

Nope the port number was not the issue, figured it out, did not have the correct C-lan setting on the opposite side. They must match. So, near-end must = far-end on opposite PBX and vice versa.

Thanks for you help.
