I have a ip trunk group between 2 avaya sites. One is a S8700 with a TN form factor. The other is a S8500 with 3 G700's. My signaling/trunk group is in service however when I place a set to set call I either get dead air or there is a 10 to 15sec delay and then the call proceeds. In ether case I see the name of the called party on my display. Here is the screen shots from the S8500 location. The S8500 end has IP sets and the S8700 end has DCP sets.
