I am trying to get connected to the RAD using NRU 11.0 and a DIGI One SP adapter.

In NRU, I go into Options and change my Physical Layer to RAD Agent TCP/IP Communication.

I launch the Remote Set tool, enter in my ip address/user id and password (I am assuming the User ID is "admin" and the password is my RAD password, but I am not sure here)

I then click connect. It states that the RAD is trying to connect to the IP address Port 1700 adn then I get:

"The attempt to connect was forcefully rejected. Verify the Interconnect IP Address and Port and retry"

I can ping and telent to the DigiOne SP Device. I have looked in the settings, and am not sure what needs to be changed here.

Tried looking for some whitepaper on this setup.

Would greatly appreciate a gentle nudge in the right direction. We set these up on the larger PBXs with no issues, just fighting the connection to the Norstar unit.

Thanks

No pc on the far end. I have a digi one sp Serial to IP converter. I am going to try Com Port Redirection to see if that works.

Ok, for anyone that is going to use this it works with no issues. I can say that now that I have it working, but it didn't look good for the hometeam about 2 hours ago.

1. Install the DIGI ONE SP device directly to your RAD. As long as the RAD has a serial port you are good to go. You will need to use the DIGI ONE software to discover the device and then you set your IP information.

2. Plug it right into the RAD. RAD is Female and DIGI ONE is Male so no adapter necessary.

3. Load the DIGI ONE REALPORT port redirection software on your PC. You will not need to change any setting in the DIGI ONE device. Your REALPORT IP "PORT" will be 771. In the REALPORT software, during the installation create your Virtual COM Port. I used 4. I set my REAL PORT TCP PORT to 771.

4. Launch NRU using the standard RS232 connection
5. Set up as Direct connection to your "Virtual" Com port. In my case COM 4 and there you go. Quick connection over the Network to your Norstar.

Just posting this for the next person.
