We are determining whether to setup our field sales with softphones. I've tested the softphone with stations that are associated with a physical port. What are the limitations/benefits/criticisms to establishing a softphone with a station that is "X" ported? I noticed when I status the station, it shows a port that resembles S00038. Is there a problem with this or are there potential problems that could occur in that situation? In addition, currently, we only have at any one time, 2-3 licenses registered at any one time. I am currently using the clan that we connect for ASA only. What is anyone's best judgment on the amount of clan that may be needed? Our licenses will increase to approx. 100 RTUs. Concurrently registered - maybe 30-60 at any one time. We are working through our Avaya CE, but I would like to hear what all of you think. Thank you in advance.
