IP Softphone Help

Has anyone successfully set up a soft phone on release 8.1 server edition across the public internet with no VPN. I cannot seem to get it thru the firewall to the IPO

Thanks, but that is not going to help me with my customer who is VERY demanding that this is the proper way to do a soft phone.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Of course it will, as then your configuration is supported, it isn't at the moment as it rarely works

The video softphone always needs a VPN.
Even in 9.0 this is the case.
When you really want to do this without a VPN then you will need Flare and 9.0 and a power user license.

We were told by the instructor of the ACSS class back in April that all 9600 phones would have VPN firmware available as of 8.1 (69)

I have not tested this.

The 96x1 phones need firmware that is included in 9.0
