A shot in the dark...

In softphone release 5.2 users are able to configure the application so that it highlights telephone-like numbers in web pages for auto-dialing when the application is up and running.

The feature works well for 10 digit strings, but we have a six digit dialplan that shows up in our intranet directory as 12-3456.

I'm not seeing where the app or explorer or the os are configurable to recognize numbers in that format as phone related, but was wondering if someone had encountered something similar and developed a workaround.

Thanks in advance.

Here is an idea. But it's not great. Change the IE directory to 10 digits. Then use ARS digit conversion to convert to 6 digits on the back end.

that'd work, but my customers would be confused to no end...

thks.

You can change number format recognized as phone number in Program Options of IP Softphone.
