I have just had a series of weirdnesses going on and I wonder if someone could help.
I have 3 separate PCs which used to connect to a Red Hat Linux box but now refuse to 'see' it (using ping) and I suspect it's something to do with the routing.
- All other Win 9x PCs can ping the server
- The server can ping all PCs (even the problem ones)
- The problem PCs can ping everything else except the server.
Having a look about I called up the routing details using the DOS, 'ROUTE PRINT' command
on a working PC the last line looks like:
Network Address Netmask Gateway Interface
255.255.255.255 255.255.255.255 200.0.0.101 0.0.0.0
But on a problem PC it looks like:
Network Address Netmask Gateway Interface
255.255.255.255 255.255.255.255 200.0.0.133 200.0.0.133
I cannot delete/change the interface to see if this is the problem.
Has anyone any thoughts on this?
Cheers
