IP Phones - Call Quality Monitoring

According to Nortel, each IP phone has resident monitoring software that captures statistics on events (poor call quality, etc) when they occur. It is made by Telchemy and is called "VQmon." This allows you to troubleshoot problems by using software such as NetIQ.

Our network operations group uses Lucent Vital Suite to monitor the performance of the data network. Do any of you know if the Telchemy software works with other monitoring tools like Lucent Vital Suite? Or does it work with just the NetIQ product? I'd be interested to know if anyone is using it with something other than NetIQ.
