IP Phones and SIP

Does anyone know if the Nortel IP Phones have implemented the standard set of telephony features using SIP?

I do believe there is a SIP based firmware for the Nortel IP phones. Although, I am going from memory and have never actually used SIP phones.

There is SIP firmware for the IP Phone 1120E/1140E.

Yes, thats true. But I think you just can use them with MCS5100 at the time. Lineside SIP is not something CS1000 has today.

The SIP 1120E/1140E is supported by Nortel on MCS 5100, MCS/AS 5200, CS 2000, CS 2100 and Broadsoft.
