IP Office Voicemail to Email not working

I have an IP Office with Embedded Voicemail that is not being very cooperative. Quite simply, it is not wanting to even attempt to communicate with the SMTP server. When I do a session in Monitor this is what I see:

I have checked around for other results and examples for captures, but I can't find anything similar. This system is running 8.1(69). Has anyone seen a result like this before? Thanks!

Are you able to send alarm emails?

SMTP server setup under system > SMTP ?

DNS tab filled in?

No, alarm emails are not working either. The SMTP server is correct and DNS is also correct. I believe I should at least be seeing the IPO trying to connect to the SMTP server. I'm not sure what to think about this issue since there is so little appearing in Monitor.

You are light on details, what IPO version? Where is the email server? How does the system access the email server etc etc

IP route setup to the SMTP provider?

Can you ping to the SMTP server via SSA?

When I troubleshoot this type of problem, I install hMailserver and configure it to relay. The IP Office sends the email to hMailserve, and hMailserver sends it to the outside email server. The logs in hMail are great, you can get all of the details to see where things are failing.

We use hMailserver on every install using embedded with voicemail to email. If it fails, at least you can see why.

You can activate more email filters in monitor I think
