Hello

I need some advice we are getting a lot of voicemails it looks bad on the reports. I have an IP office 500v2 with an Sales HUNTGROUP set on VM 20 second and voicemail timeout 80 Seconds. I have enabled announcements on this hunt group from voicemail pro set to 15 and 15. Then on voicemail pro I recorded a message saying you are still in a que, then you are still in a queue this loops around until 80 second then goes to a voicemail.

Sales Huntgroup ----Queue ----- Start Point ------ generic Message

Sales Huntgroup -----Still in Queue ---- Start Point -------generic Message

I had a thought on the huntgroup voicemail if I turn this off, Could on the second message say please continue to hold or press 1 to leave a message( that the bit I can't do?)

Is it best to have voicemail or a queuing system

regards

What you want to do is easy (your explanation wasn't).

Turn off the Voicemail On setting for the hunt group.

In the Still Queued callflow, add a Menu Action with an entry for 1 and a timeout of a few seconds and no retries. Link 1 to a Leave Mail action set to the hunt groups mailbox. Record a prompt for the Menu action telling callers their options.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Optional you can leave voicemail on, and set the vm timeout to 3600 sec.

Then the customer can decide to put the huntgroup in nightservice so that the caller goes to vm immediatly.
