My office has a two way door entry system

1) Is it possible to integrate the IP office SOE with the door release?
So that when some presses the intercom button on the door entry, the door entry intercom can then be answered by the telephone and also release the door

2) Would i need extra equipment to integrate both?

Our Setup is as follows:

IP Office SOE
ISDN Lines
All are digital Handsets
With 4 Voip phones

Door Release System
Fermax, with two door entry system.

Thanks

The only way i have been able to get the IPO to work with relays is like this. The person presses the door button and it rings where you tell it to. then they talk and the user hangs up the phone and then has to dial the relay short code and the door will release. The one draw back to this is if the user forgets to hang up or leaves it on speaker it will stay active. I have put a 1 minute timer on the short code when i have done it but 1 minute is a long time for the door to buzz. usually i use somekind of door phone controller for this because they have built in settings for the times and control.

Kevin,

Is there is technical documentation to configure the door release with the ip office?

i am not sure how i would connect the ip office to door entry system?
how to program the system to receive the door entry call, which a user can answer?

Try the Kalika (ulydor) system.
Attaches to a analogue port, has own relay's. Does exactly what you require.

No Im not a sales person for them :) . Just used them in the past and they work.

It depends on the door phone. the door phone can be connected as a trunk port. we use loop start trunks or you can use an analog station port. it will usually say what type of connection it needs. the relay is on a headphone type connector on the back of the IPO. there is a lot of info at this as well

THey have config examples and a lot of info. I am not familar with the type of equipment you have so i am not sure exaclty how you should set it up.
